Amazon FBA Fees 2025

Amazon has announced significant updates to its Amazon FBA Fees 2025 structure, aiming to provide stability and support for sellers.

Starting January 15, 2025, the New Seller Incentives and FBA New Selection programs will offer greater fee discounts to encourage the addition of products that are everyday essentials, have higher customer demand but lower selection breadth, and popular brands seeking greater global availability.

These updates reflect Amazon’s commitment to maintaining a strong partnership with sellers, enabling them to focus on growing their businesses without the constant worry of rising operational costs with Fulfillment by Amazon fees.

Inbound Placement Service Fees

Effective January 15, 2025, inbound Amazon inventory placement fee decreased for large bulky-size products by an average of $0.58 per unit for minimal shipment splits.

This adjustment is intended to alleviate the financial burden on sellers distributing oversized inventory across Amazon’s fulfillment network, promoting more efficient inventory management and cost savings

Fee Waivers for New Parent ASINs

Amazon has announced that there will be no increase in US referral fees on Amazon and Fulfillment by Amazon (FBA) fees for 2025. One of the most seller-friendly updates in the Amazon fee changes for 2025 is the introduction of fee waivers for new parent ASINs

Sellers launching new products often face challenges in predicting demand and managing initial costs.

By waiving certain fulfillment by Amazon fees, Amazon encourages sellers to experiment with new product lines and diversify their portfolios without the immediate pressure of upfront costs.

This waiver applies to shipments created between December 1, 2024, and March 31, 2025, covering up to the first 100 inbound units per new parent ASIN.

Enhanced Incentives for New Selection Growth

Amazon is introducing enhanced incentives to support the growth of new selections in its store.

These incentives, tied to the launch of new ASINs and the expansion of existing categories, are designed to reward sellers who invest in innovative and high-demand product offerings.

The incentives include reduced Amazon fulfillment costs, promotional support, and increased visibility within Amazon.

Starting January 15, 2025, the New Seller incentives and FBA New Selection programs will offer greater fee discounts to encourage the addition of products that are everyday essentials, have high customer demand but lower selection breadth, and popular brands seeking greater global availability.

Improvements to Fee Tools and Inbounding Experience

Amazon is investing in advanced tools to improve sellers’ experience with inbounding and fee management.

Updated dashboards provide detailed insights into FBA size tiers, fee breakdowns, and shipment performance.

Improvements will include better fee calculators and fee preview tools, as well as an enhanced FBA inbounding experience with features that estimate transportation costs and recommend the most cost-effective shipping options.

These upgrades aim to provide sellers with greater transparency and control over their operations, facilitating more informed decision-making and optimized business strategies.

No Increase in US Referral and FBA Fees

Unlike in previous years, there will be no increase in referral fees on Amazon or base Amazon FBA fees 2025 for US sellers.

By holding referral and fulfillment fees steady, Amazon demonstrates its commitment to minimizing financial pressure on its seller community.

In a move to provide stability for sellers, this decision allows sellers to plan their operations without the concern of rising costs, enabling them to focus on growth and customer satisfaction.

As mentioned, effective January 15, 2025, Amazon will reduce inbound Amazon placement fee for large bulky-size products by an average of $0.58 per unit for minimal shipment plots, alleviating the financial burden on sellers distributing oversized inventory across Amazon’s fulfillment network.

Innovations in Multi-Channel Fulfillment

Amazon’s multi-channel fulfillment (MCF) service is evolving to offer even more competitive pricing and enhanced integration capabilities.

Amazon continues to innovate in its MCF services, offering competitive rates and enhanced integration capabilities.

MCF now offers three-day standard delivery, a 40% improvement over 2024, making it a competitive choice for off-Amazon sales channels.

These innovations allow sellers to fulfill orders across multiple platforms while using Amazon’s extensive logistics network.

The updated MCF pricing model included reduced costs for outbound shipments and introduced faster delivery options for non-Amazon sales channels, providing sellers with greater flexibility and efficiency in managing their operations.
